MeOH-To-Go™ (also referred to as Methanol-To-Go™) is designed to operate anywhere in the world and based on its modular design, can be moved if needed. This modular design also reduces the risks common in field construction. These plants enable users to produce their own methanol output from associated, stranded, or pipeline gas. The plant is designed to be self-sufficient with respect to utilities so it can be operated as a stand-alone facility. The plant is also designed for remote operation.

How it works

The MeOH-To-Go™ (or Methanol-To-Go™) plant reforms natural gas feedstock to syngas and then converts the syngas to methanol. MeOH-To-Go™ (or Methanol-To-Go™) is based on Haldor Topsoe’s well-proven HTCR reforming technology and includes a pre-reformer to convert higher hydrocarbons. The MeOH-To-Go™ (or Methanol-To-Go™) plant can use natural gas feedstocks of variable quality, including CO2, inerts, and high levels of natural gas liquids and produce Grade AA methanol. Methanol is easily transportable and globally consumed, making it a desirable way to monetize stranded or associated natural gas.
